RootN is an Edmonton engineering-led firm that designs and builds AI, automation and custom business systems for organizations across industries.
Why RootN exists
Most operations don’t have a software problem.
They have work that shouldn’t exist, and data that doesn’t reach the decision.
Quotes rebuilt from a template. Requests retyped from email. Timesheets typed up twice. A report that takes days because every number is rebuilt by hand. It happens in upholstery studios and in heavy-civil fleets. Fixing it rarely needs a new platform. It needs someone who understands the business well enough to see the root cause, and can build the right fix: an automation, a system, AI, or a simpler process.
That is what RootN does. The name says the method: find the root cause, remove the steps that shouldn’t exist, then automate and measure what’s left.

The founder
Designed and built by the same engineer.
The founder’s approach was shaped inside a heavy-civil contractor’s equipment operation, and now applied well beyond it.
Inside that operation, the founder built the systems in our field notes: a digital timesheet workflow that has handled more than 60,000 timesheets, a lifecycle-cost engine that turned weeks of analysis into hours, and the automations that took routine fleet and payroll work off people’s desks.
Beyond that operation: a full operating system for Sofa Art Upholstery, from website inquiry to paid invoice, and brands and websites for two service businesses, Haulor and Cleanore. You work directly with the founder, from the first call to the handover.
